Never sung in a choir before? No experience in Southeast Asian music? Worried that you can’t dance? (Honestly, we can’t either! 😬)
Regardless of your musical background and experience, we have a place for you in Suara!
sing with us this fall!
SPICE, MAGIC & MYSTIQUE
Music is central to Southeast Asian culture—it’s a heartbeat, a story, and yes, even our rituals!
This fall, get ready for a season of concerts, workshops, and interactive events, all leading up to our mainstage fall concert on November 8th at the beautiful St. Basil Catholic Church. We will be featuring premieres and rare works from across Southeast Asia, including a Balinese kecak, a newly discovered 18th-century Filipino hymn, a Thai piece featuring a stunning saw duang solo, a Burmese lullaby, and folk songs from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Come ready to be immersed—we are ready to lift your spirits and bring Southeast Asian choral traditions to life!
